Arrangement of the DVD store, preparation of the Halle Tony Garnier, distribution of programmes, welcoming the public and guests. For her first year as a festival volunteer, Olivia Allard, 27, has mastered the art of multi-tasking. A faithful festivalgoer for several years, this young woman from Lyon, an expert in digital marketing, decided to take the plunge by donning the famous red top, just like her mother Patricia, a volunteer for three years. “Cinema is my first passion and I wanted to invest more in this event. The festival is an opportunity for great encounters, a chance to dream together. And it’s all the more important to support the cinema in today's context,” says Olivia. Even if she has her hands full as a volunteer, this admirer of Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp has not forgotten to make her choices as a festivalgoer: Master class of Sabine Azéma, presentation ceremony of the Lumière Award, screening of the film Falling, the first feature film by her favourite actor, Viggo Mortensen: “I am also lucky enough to attend his master class. He is an actor I adore; I am blown away by how easily heæ can step into the skin of a character!" Ready to come back for another edition without any hesitation, Olivia has just one regret: "I wish the festival lasted longer!". The request has been made…
