Lumière will also host a large part of the Cannes Classics selection, restored films from the Cannes Film Festival. This year marks several anniversaries: 20 years of In the Mood for Love by Wong Kar-wai, 60 years of Breathless and L'Avventura, the maestros (Federico Fellini, Pier Paolo Pasolini), rediscoveries of the Cannes Festivals of ‘60, ‘68 , ‘73 and ‘81, Melvin Van Peebles's debut film, a landmark documentary on Charlie Chaplin, and other film treasures to see again or discover.
